DESCRIPTION:At the end of the 80&acute\;s Ed Motta burst upon the music scene as a major singer and one of Conex&atilde\;o Japeri&acute\;s composers and producers.&nbsp\;It was soon&nbsp\;clear that at age 16\, Ed Motta had arrived and was making plans to soar much higher.&nbsp\;Two decades later\, not even the most optimistic of optimists could have foreseen he would get this far. Today he is a singer and composer\, plays several instruments\, makes arrangements&nbsp\;and produces music in many different countries.
 In his own style\, while remaining loyal to funk-soul\, he mixes influences that vary from jazz to popular Brazilian music\, from Hollywood film&nbsp\;soundtracks to rock\, from classical music to American standards\, from bossa nova to reggae. The result of this melting pot of references has already been recognised all over the world.&nbsp\;He makes light\, seemingly effortless music that connects&nbsp\;with musicians and jazz fans at a profound level\, through artistry\, musicianship and an engaging personality.
 Ed has channeled his lifelong love for AOR in newest recording\,&nbsp\;blue-eyed soul flavoured album AOR. An affectionate and exciting tribute to DQUOTEAlbum-Oriented RockDQUOTE\,&nbsp\;a style typified by pop-rock acts with strong soul and jazz influences generally from the late &rsquo\;70s and early &rsquo\;80s.
 The owner of over 30\,000 LPs Motta says"\:"&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&ldquo\;This is the music I grew up listening to"\:" Christopher Cross\, Steely Dan\, Doobie Brothers\, Alessi Brothers\, all these things\, but in the last five years I&rsquo\;ve become obsessed with AOR\, and I started to write many\, many\, many songs&rdquo\;&nbsp\;
