 A sculptor of sound\, Tuomarila has a raw ability to mould and shape awe-inspiring melodic lines with a precision and rhythmic finesse underpinned by a vibrant sense of imagination and Finnish melancholy. 
 
 Summer 2017 sees the release of his new trio album Kingdom on Edition Records\, with bassist Mats Eilertsen and drummer Olavi Louhivuori. With music written by all three members\, the Alexi Tuomarila Trio is staking its claim as one of the finest on the exciting contemporary European scene.
