 Rabble rousing. Excellent. Masterclass. Heartfelt. Great. Fantastic. Brilliant. Mind-blowing. Inspirational. Amazing&nbsp\;... just some of the words used to describe the on-stage persona of Darren Poyzer\, a charming face around town\,&nbsp\;adorned with trademark blue hat and Takemine acoustic\,&nbsp\;attracting smiles and inspiring those around him to write\, create\, lift their heads up when times are hard and keep their passion and wits about them.
 It was sometime back in 1986 when the light came on. Already a war veteran by the age of 18 he had written his first meaningful poem\, an angry reflection of&nbsp\;conflict just hours before a rousing empirical homecoming\, and having taken his poetry into songwriting\, he played his first gig supporting the esteemed poet Adrian Mitchell.
 From&nbsp\;anger&nbsp\;came&nbsp\;a twist of irony&nbsp\;and&nbsp\;a lively comical edge. Regular shows&nbsp\;were played alongside the likes of Steve Coogan\, Caroline Ahearne\, Lemn Sissay\, John Cooper Clarke\, Mark Burgess&nbsp\;and&nbsp\;John Bramwell. In later years acclaimed outings&nbsp\;lead to&nbsp\;support slots for the likes of Eddi Reader\, Lloyd Cole\, Toots And The Maytals\, Wishbone Ash\, Roy Harper\, Nerina Pallot\, The Saw Doctors and Ozric Tentacles\, plus appearances at Glastonbury\, Edinbrough\, Acoustic Festival of Britain\, International Guitar Festival of Britain and most recently The Rhythm Festival.

From that first&nbsp\;live stage experience\,&nbsp\;Darren has set upon a life task to enlighten and entertain\,&nbsp\;and through working for and promoting community&nbsp\;&nbsp\;music projects\,&nbsp\;he continues to&nbsp\;devote his energies to inspiring others to achieve strength through creativity. These days he is also an&nbsp\;active special needs music leader and popular music educator.
