Combining eight horns with two percussionists, a scratch DJ and live MC, Renegade Brass Band mix funk, hip-hop and jazz with a raw brass sound to create a unique high energy live show. We welcome them back to the Band on the Wall stage to celebrate the launch of their highly anticipated new LP ‘Totems’, seeing them develop their hard-edged brass sound!

RBB have already established a big live reputation as a headline act, and have played packed-out shows at venues around the UK and Europe, and in the last year, they have supported acts including Busta Rhymes, De La Soul, Grandmaster Flash, Public Enemy, Jamie Cullum, The Cat Empire, Quantic, Craig Charles and many more.

A hit with festival crowds across Europe, the band have played at festivals including Glastonbury, Sea Sessions Ireland, Tramlines, JazzOpen Stuttgart, Black Sea Jazz Festival (Georgia), Java Jazz Festival (Indonesia) and Soundwave (Croatia).

The band released their debut album, ‘RBB: Rhymes, Beats & Brass’ in August 2014, and followed it up with their 2015 ‘RBB: Rhymes, Beats & Brass (Remixed), featuring collaborations with artists such as Hugo Kant, Colman Brothers and Tall Black Guy. In October, they did a live session for BBC 6 Music’s Craig Charles Funk & Soul Show, and had airplay from BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio 2 and Radio 1.

They have appeared on albums by The Herbaliser, Rodney P and Harleighblu, and provided live horns for acts including Diesler, Public Service Broadcasting, Sam Redmore and Reverend & The Makers.
