Welcome to The Hot Jazz Biscuits – a versatile group of experienced musicians and firm friends who have been working together to provide high quality live music since 2003, ideal for any occasion.
From solo artists for intimate weddings, right up to ten-piece bands for extravagant corporate events, and covering a broad spectrum of musical styles including jazz, motown, soul, funk, and pop, they’ll work tirelessly to ensure you and your guests have as much fun as they inevitably will.
What will you need to supply?
An accessible power supply is essential as they use several pieces of electrical equipment. Other than this, they are self-contained and will bring all of their own equipment including PA and lighting for both band and dance floor. To keep their energy levels up the band will require soft drinks throughout the performance, and a hot and healthy meal for each band member.
How long do they play for?
They usually play either two 45 or two 60 minute sets. They can play for longer if required – just let us know when making your booking.
Do they play recorded music during their breaks?
Yes, they play music from an iPod. If you prefer, you can provide your own playlists.
Can they play our first dance?
Yes, absolutely. Please get in touch for advice on song choice.
What happens when the band finishes? Do I need a DJ?
They offer both DJs and ‘DIY DJs’. Leave it to them, or you can bring an MP3 player with your favourite music on and leave it running for the remainder of the evening – just let us know when making your booking, Musicians will need to be able to pack down and leave with their equipment when the live music has finished.

So happy we had the Hot Jazz Biscuits at our party. Their standard of performance was excellent and they got everyone up on the dance floor. I was pleased that they prepared a set list with our party theme in mind- A Night at the Movies. They also interacted well with our guests- getting an Amy Winehouse lookalike to assist while they performed one of her numbers! In general, they were a lovely bunch of people to work with; professional and easy-going at the same time. Lastly, my final comment might sound like a double-edged compliment but I think needs to be said: their live set was much better than the recorded performance on their website.

HJB played our wedding over the summer and I can not recommend them enough. The first dance was perfect (the music not my footwork) and then three great sets of songs. A real leap of faith but trust them they are the professionals. The money seems daunting when you compair it to a DJ but the atmosphere of a live band setting up and sound checking really built up excitement and kicked the evening off with a bang. 10/10, book them now!!! James and Charlotte. X

Hot Jazz Biscuits played at our wedding 5 weeks ago and they absolutely made our evening! All of our guests were so impressed (and are still singing your praises) and we couldn’t stop dancing throughout both sets! Everything was completely under control which meant we didn’t need to worry about a thing on the night! We had the 7 piece band and the sound was just phenomenal! Thank you so much for being the perfect end to our day – we just need another occasion so we can hear you again!

The Hot Jazz Biscuits played at our wedding on New Years’ Eve and were absolutely incredible. We read about the band in a wedding magazine in which the feedback was amazing so we knew we had to have them.
Chris was brilliant to deal with in the lead up, always very responsive and accommodating. On the night, the band played an amazing set split into three 45 minute sessions with a fantastic DJ playing in between. The band learnt our first dance for us, played all of our ceremony requests and the DJ had all of our evening requests ready to go! The band even led our midnight celebrations.
The dancefloor was full all night and so many of our guests commented on how fantastic the Hot Jazz Biscuits were. To top it off, the guys were absolutely lovely people and it was a pleasure having them around at the wedding.
We cannot thank you all enough.
Love the new Mr and Mrs Rothwell x

In November The Hot Jazz Biscuits played an amazing gig at our wedding.
My wife and I have fairly eclectic music taste, and add to that we wanted a band that would have friends and family spanning four generations up on the dance floor. Well, they nailed it! We couldn’t get people off the dance floor!!
Having great music being played by genuinely lovely people really added to our wedding day – thank you so much guys.

Can’t speak highly enough of this band. After trawling the Internet for a wedding band and hearing the same old repertoires eg Killers/ Kings of Leon/ etc, as soon as we heard The Hot Jazz Biscuits, there was no going back. The demos that you can hear/ see on the website and YouTube etc don’t do these guys justice. Not one person who came to our wedding hasn’t mentioned how good this band were/are. They blew the roof off. Every individual in the 8 piece we booked, was absolutely quality in their own right. Therefore, I don’t want to single anyone out for special praise, but the singer, well she was unreal. In fact, I can’t single anyone out, they were all unreal. Thanks guys for learning our song (which was as good as the real deal) making the party, being a massive part of our special day. But also wing so helpful in the build up to the day. Please continue to bring smiles to faces with your awesomeness!
