BAND ON THE WALL
‘IT’S ALL ABOUT THE MUSIC’
Band on the Wall is a dynamic multi-faceted charity with a mission to act as a socially responsible producer, promoter and deliverer of non-mainstream music, both live and through digital media; improving access for many to an amazing world of music.
We programme concerts in our venue and at other venues across the UK and we deliver ground-breaking learning and outreach work to people of all ages and from all backgrounds. In order to do all of this we need support from individuals and companies and we have a great deal to give in return.
Wall of Sounds – Explore Music
Wall of Sounds is a brand new learning programme offering a range of exciting opportunities to explore music through artist residencies, courses, masterclasses and performances.
Serving as a hub for activity, Band on the Wall will serve people of all ages from Manchester and the North West, engaging in outreach projects, whilst also connecting local musicians with some of the global talent that passes through the venue.
Sponsorship at Band on the Wall
Band on the Wall has an excellent record of managing corporate sponsorships and partnerships; first gaining corporate support more than a year before reopening and maintaining excellent relationships since then. Having been shortlisted for the Lever Arts Prize 2011 and Bruntwood Arts and Business Award for People Development 2010, Band on the Wall is recognised region-wide as an excellent choice for sponsorship.
Becoming a sponsor of Band on the Wall helps us to bring the best music from all over the world to the UK, support our evolving archive and also enables us to continue to deliver our unique learning and participation programme, which engages with people of all ages and backgrounds to encourage excellence in music and performing arts.
With funding from our corporate sponsors and individual funders, Band on the Wall is able to offer so much more in terms of programming, archive development and learning and participation work. For instance with funding we can offer subsidised places on music courses for young people, create and manage learning and participation projects that would not be possible otherwise, and pay for internationally renowned touring artists to give master classes to up and coming musicians here in Manchester.
We offer opportunities for companies and individuals to get involved with the organisation.
