We open the weekend with a soul fuelled musical journey with Jo Harman and Company

A cocktail of soul, blues, gospel and rootsy rock, nodding to diverse influences from classic Memphis singers to mid period Rolling Stones – delivered by a riveting performer with an exceptional blues-fuelled voice. Jo Harman and Company take the audience on a soul fuelled musical journey covering Jo’s strong originals mixed in with some bluesy, styled interpretations of classic Memphis songs and more. Harman fronts this first class band of impressively CV’d musicians, who have already caused a very real stir in the industry with their live performances and BBC sessions.

Their material slips effortlessly between soul, blues, gospel and rootsy rock nodding to diverse influences from classic Memphis singers to mid period Rolling Stones. A riveting performer with an exceptional blues fuelled voice, Harman and her Company continue to sell out where ever they perform so book early to avoid disappointment.

Jo brings with her a world class band who have worked with the likes of Bob Dylan, Tina Turner, Beyonce, BB King, Bowie and more. This will be a night of quality music from one the brightest young vocal talents around, attracting considerable attention and critical acclaim. Not to be missed!

Beer ‘n’ Blues Weekend feat Kyla Brox

13 July / 13:00 / More Info / Buy Tickets

The Saturday afternoon session features Kyla Brox.

Kyla’s voice is a stunning example of the soul singer’s art: turning up the heat by degrees, lulling and charming before unleashing emotional catharsis, and blurring the distinction between pleasure and pain like the soul greats of old. Kyla Brox is without doubt the most authentic UK blues and soul singer of her generation.

Kyla’s first performance at Band on the Wall was in 1992, singing with Victor onstage at Band On The Wall at the age of 12! And we’re thrilled to welcome her back.

Beer ‘n’ Blues Weekend feat Chantel McGregor

13 July / 19:30 / More Info / Buy Tickets

We close the weekend with one of the most of exciting rock/blues guitarist the UK has ever produced, Chantel McGregor.

Imagine the tone of Robin Trower, the feel of Bonnie Raitt, the inspiration ofHendrix, the influence of SRV, the energy of Bonamassa and the intensity of Walter Trout all rolled into one – ladies and gentlemen, introducing the formidable guitar talent that is Chantel McGregor.

Chantel McGregor first picked up a guitar when she was three and at the age of eight became the youngest person to pass a Rockschool grade. Later, she graduated with first class honours from Leeds College of Music, embarking on her career as guitarist and singer and winning the British Young Artist in the British Blues Awards 2011, British Female Artist in 2012 and in 2013 getting the awards for both Female Artist and British Blues Guitarist.

This is bone-crunchingly brilliant blues at its very best.
