Band on the Wall receives £3000 donation from Pete Thomas

Band on the Wall is delighted to announce that it has received a cheque for £3000 from musician and individual supporter of Band on the Wall, Pete Thomas. The money will go towards several projects with school children from Gorton and also our learning and participation launch project, SoundRoutes which is happening right now throughout the streets of the Northern Quarter.

Receiving the cheque, Tim Chatterton, Band on the Wall Learning & Participation Officer said:

"As a registered charity operating as a not-for-profit company, such generous donations and support from the public make a huge difference to our education and community work. We are immensely grateful to Pete for allowing us to make this important side of Band on the Wall's main programme even better".

Pete Thomas recently came to the launch and it was while he was here he gave us a further donation to support our work with young people who may not usually have access to out of school activities in the Arts.

Pete Thomas raised the money via  sales of CDs, DVDs, mouthpieces, sheet music, advertising revenue and  donations on his website and also on his saxophone site & forum, whose members have been exceedingly generous.
