BIOGRAPHY
Put simply, Honeyfeet are Manchester's best ethio-trad, barrel-house pop, cowpunk and folk-hop band.
Already this year, they have cemented their reputation for rollicking live performances with a continued residency at Manchester's famous Matt & Phred's Jazz Club, stormed the Bowl Stage at the inaugrual Friends of Mine Festival and blown the roof off the renowned Band On The Wall with a set that is already finding it's way into alternative scene folklore. Add to this headline sets at Shambala, Boomtown and Aeonfest and you are left in no doubt as to the force of the ability of the band to entrance, energise and boogelarise audiences!
Much of their success stems from the incredible vocal prowess of singer Ríoghnach Connolly (“seldom has conspicuous talent been more accessable” - Mike Butler, CityLife), whose nuanced yet powerful folk-soul voice remains the centre piece of the music. Meanwhile, the group behind her bubble and steam, entwining African scales with R&B grooves, jazz melodies with hip-hop rhythms.
