Mon 7th January 2013 – 7th June 2013
As part of it's ongoing programme for emerging and mid-career musicians, Wall of Sounds is offering a series of unique mentoring opportunities. Four sessions of bespoke one to one guidance and support from a succesful and established musician or business professional. Each mentor is specially chosen to suit the needs of successful applicants. The programme takes place over a six month period starting in the spring of 2013.
Feedback from previous mentee..."It was really interesting and amazing to see just how possible it is to make your ideas actually happen. I've never been in the position to really do proper tours before, or really anything that involves money, simply through not having enough of it! Now my eyes have been opened to the fact that there are people, money and help available (at the Arts Council, PRS etc..) for creative people who have the ideas, drive and willingness to put the work in to help projects reach there fullest potential."
The programme is free to the six selected 'mentees'.
"Mentoring is a developmental partnership through which one person shares knowledge, skills, information and perspective to foster the artistic and professional growth of someone else. The power of mentoring is that it creates a one-of-a-kind opportunity for collaboration, goal achievement and problem-solving."
If you wish to apply for the initial mentoring programme involving four half day sessions with a mentor and associated follow-up please fill out the following online application no later than 9am on Monday 7th January 2013.
