Master of the ngoni, Mali's enigmatic lute-like instrument, Kouyate visits Manchester with his full band on the back of countless awards and plaudits for his 2007 masterpiece Segu Blue. Often described as Africa's version of the blues, his haunting playing has thrilled audiences across the world.
