His virtuoso guitar playing, alongside his Paco Pena Flamenco Dance Company, has toured all the major concert halls of the world to huge international acclaim.

Misa Flamenca (Flamenco Mass)

“With its pungent Hispanic aromas compounded by irrepressible rhythmic vitaity and sense of momentum, Pena’s flamenco playing was indeed impossible to resist.”
The Times on Paco Pena's Misa Flamenca

“ (Misa Flamenca) ... certainly the most satisfying flamenco concert this reviewer has heard.” The New York Times

Now considered one of his greatest works, Pena has re-written the traditional church mass for flamenco guitars, dancer and the acclaimed Chetham's Choir to brilliant effect. By combining the melodic and rhythmic nuances from flamenco with the texts of the Liturgy, Paco Pena creates something that is revelatory and joyous to watch in equal measure. Astonishing audiences the world over, and now celebrating its 20th anniversary, come enjoy this legendary artist and his great work live in the perfect setting of Manchester Cathedral.
