2010 Mercury Music Prize nominee Kit Downes is one of the most in demand young pianists on the UK scene, and is now getting the international acclaim Gwilym Simcock did on his emergence a few years back. His 2010 album Golden was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize. Backed by the subtle touches of bassist Calum Gourlay and drummer James Maddren, the trio is here expanded to form a new sextet performing original compositions.
