Zwicky Records - Music is Life Christmas Party

Zwicky Records is a project set up for young people by young people. Supported by BBC Blast, we’re a team of 13-19 year olds who are passionate about music, and want to promote the incredible amount of unsigned talent Manchester has to offer. We started off with no idea about the music industry, but after several mentoring sessions, months  of hard work and heated discussions we premiered the ‘Zwicky  Records : Music is Life’ tour, consisting of 4 FREE gigs! It’s not been easy, but we’ve managed to  create  a musical spectacle we’re all really proud of.  

We trawled through Myspace and looked all over the internet and have found what we consider to be some of the best new music around – all performed and written by young people living in Manchester. Check our blog (link) out to hear the full story, but right now we’re looking forward to the last gig on our line up, at Band on the Wall on 20th December. With performances from  Little Gem, Lauren Hutchinson , and the Lottery Winners,  it promises to be an insane night, and we hope you come along!

With Tinny on the mic all night, it’s going to be full of a complete range of styles and genres so there’ll be something for everyone.
