Bio

From 1991 to 1999 Nick Wilkinson studied flamenco guitar at the conservatory in Rotterdam, where he received monthly private lessons from Paco Peña. Whilst in Holland Nick worked in several dance schools, where he gained experience as an accompanist. During this period he had excellent opportunities to either observe, or participate in, workshops from revered artists such as El Farruco, Manolo Franco, Eva la Yerba Buena, Sarah Baras, Manolete, Rafaela Carasco, Luis de Luis, Paco Serrano and Loli Flores. 

Nick has played live on Dutch national radio, Granada television, BBC Radio Manchester, at the Swaledale International Festival and has appeared several times at Glastonbury. Between 1999 and 2006 Nick taught flamenco guitar at the Spanish Centre in Manchester and has given workshops at various schools including Chethams. He has also given private lessons to several guitar students from the Royal Northern College of Music.
