WALL OF SOUNDS

A UNIQUE MUSIC EDUCATION PARTNERSHIP

Band on the Wall and Brighter Sound have formed a unique partnership to offer a progressive learning and participation programme throughout 2011 and beyond.

By catering for children and young people, emerging and established artists and providing a rich adult education programme, we will offer a clear route into music for everyone, from first time opportunities to play, to progression and professional development.

With Band on the Wall serving as a hub for workshops, masterclasses, residencies and performances, the partnership will have a unique cultural offer for Manchester and the North West, with scope to engage in outreach projects, whilst also connecting local musicians with some of the global talent that passes through the venue.

Brighter Sound is the new umbrella organisation responsible for GMMAZ, MusicLeader NW, Sing Up and Leadership Lab, with over 10 years of experience of delivering innovative music education for young people, teachers, artists and cultural industry leaders.

Band on the Wall has been one of the cornerstones of Manchester's thriving music scene for the greater part of the last century, bringing the best music from around the world to Manchester.
